ITV Coronation Street’s Stephanie Davis announces different career after being axed and leaves UK

ITV Coronation Street’s Stephanie Davis has announced a totally different career after being axed as Courtney Vance. Coronation Street’s Stephanie will exit the ITV soap later this year – having made her debut just months ago.

Now, the soap star wants to launch a music career and is currently in Memphis recording her first album. She explained to her fans and followers: “I am extremely excited to announce that my debut single will be released in May next year!

“I am about to fly out to America to start recording my debut album with some of the worlds best producers! This album is dedicated to the fighters, the parents and all of the people who’ve overcome the impossible. This music is for you.

“So much has gone into the whole album & I really hope you all relate & love it as much as I do.” Courtney left Aadi Alahan on Wednesday night in heartbreaking scenes for Dev’s son, and bosses say her time has run its course on the cobbles.

A source said to the Sun: “Steph was over the moon to land a part on Corrie after things went so wrong on Hollyoaks and she had genuinely impressed with her work and commitment to the ITV soap. Naturally she’d hoped that maneater Courtney could stick around for a good few years but bosses feel like the story arc is complete – she’s not being killed off, though, so there’s no reason why Courtney couldn’t one day return and the door remains open to Steph.”

Davis is best known for previously playing Sinead O’Connor in Hollyoaks. The soap star made her debut on the Weatherfield soap earlier this year, as part of a storyline where she seduced Aadi, Dev’s son, while the pair went into business with her husband Darren.
